WORLD TEACHERS' DAY · FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER

An encouraging word, at just the right time,

can mean the difference between success and loss, revived passion or burnout, joy or regret over what we’ve given our lives to.

This World Teachers’ Day, tell a teacher what they’ve meant to you, and start collecting the words that keep you going.

A CULTURE OF GRATITUDE

Building a culture of gratitude is essential in every part of life,

and it starts with the individual.

It starts with you noticing other people

and actively showing your appreciation for how they’ve made an impact in your life,

sometimes just by being who they are.

This becomes even more impactful as these notes of appreciation are collected and reflected upon as you go through your day, your month or your year.

Join TeachVic and teachers from all over Victoria who are making a commitment to building a culture of gratitude and actively sharing their appreciation.

HOW TO CELEBRATE WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY

Notice. Share. Ask them to write it down.

1

We actively notice and share our appreciation for a person’s work and impact in our lives.

2

When someone does the same for us, thank them! And also ask them to share their thoughts in your journal.

1 · THEY THANK YOU

Thank you for staying back every Thursday to help Mia with her reading. She told us on Sunday she loves books now.

2 · YOU SAY

“What you said was incredibly precious to me. A number of us are actually joining together to notice other people and actively show our appreciation for how they’ve made an impact in our life. We are also recording these notes of appreciation so we can reflect on it later. Would you mind writing this down for me?”

3 · THEY WRITE IT DOWN

“Thank you for staying back every Thursday to help Mia with her reading…”

Sam Okafor · Parent · in your journal

OPTIONAL · THE IMPACT ZONE PLATFORM

For the technologically minded, TeachVic has also developed the Impact Zone Platform.

The platform creates an Impact Zone Board and a link for you to share with people you’d love to hear from

The notes and board are private, and can be self-moderated, so you can “accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative”

There is an option to share these notes on socials, but only where consent is given by the person showing their appreciation.
We even have some awesome, one-click artwork for you to use.

One-click artwork: Classic, Navy & amber
